If you are going to be out all day and evening having a wonderful Cape Town adventure and want a clean, well-managed city centre apartment to crash in that’s great value with excellent self-catering facilities, then Georgina’s Loft is perfect for you.
In the stunning art deco Mutual Heights heritage building, Georgina’s Loft faces the internal atrium and as such its windows don’t get direct sunlight, but the immense 9-floor atrium fills with light and filters into the apartment.
Georgina’s Loft is cosy and comforting in a late-night club sort of way, with moody lighting and subtle paint tones. It has everything you need including comfy queen-size bed and clean fresh linen on the mezzanine floor, which looks over the open-plan lounge and kitchen, where you’ll find a washing machine and full kitchen amenities. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower and the TV has satellite channels.
Your dedicated parking bay and swimming pool is in the adjacent block accessed via a funky skywalk. Down at street level the vibrant energy of Cape Town is immediately palpable on this boulevard of market stalls facing a line of historic buildings. It’s a pleasure to walk around this compact city and Georgina’s Loft is brilliantly positioned within a few minutes’ walk of top sights like Grand Parade & City Hall, Castle of Good Hope, Flower Market, Greenmarket Square and too many restaurants and cafés to mention. Except I will mention that the Eastern Food Bazaar is right next door to Mutual Heights and serves the best and cheapest exotic food from various stalls and everyone sits at communal tables to eat. It’s a brilliant way to immerse yourself in Cape Town city life day or evening.
